Peeled veneer refers to thin layers of wood. A simple yet enchanting solution to make plywood or to give panels that much-appreciated natural, wooden look.

We have the largest stock of peeled veneer in Europe with 2500m³. This is purchased directly from producers in Africa, Asia and Brazil. It finds its applications in products such as plywood, block boards, doors and so on to even ski slats.

Our stockholding position allows us to respond quickly and flexibly to customer requests. Thus, we can immediately deliver from stock full carts (or per pack) from our warehouse in Antwerp. In addition, we can also provide direct deliveries by container to a port of your choice.

  • From log to veneer

There are multiple techniques for slicing wood into thin layers. To obtain peeled (or rotary cut) veneer, the log is rotated against a very sharp blade and peeled off. Beyond peeling, the production process encompasses a few additional steps: drying, sizing, optionally splicing, repairing and stacking onto pallets. All these steps, from log to peeled veneer, are carried out in the country of origin.

  • APPLICATIONS OF PEELED VENEER

The main applications for peeled veneer are the production of plywood and surfaced panels. Plywood is used for interior carpentry, yacht building, doors, bended furniture elements, etc. Surfaced panels include overlayed panels for interior carpentry or blockboard for furniture, or, when filmfaced for concrete formwork. We also notice our peeled veneer being used for making wooden boxes of cross-country skis.
